1973年以前に作られた、土湯系工人西山憲一（1920-2003）のえじここけしです。胴の花模様はブーケのようで可愛らしく、首がくるくると回ります。経年変化で色あせと、背面に木の節がありますが、天然木ならではの味わいをお楽しみください。

「えじこ」は、昔東北地方を中心に、農作業中などに両親が赤ちゃんを入れていた籠のことを指します。赤ちゃんが籠に入った「えじここけし」は、そのかわいらしさが人気です。

The flower pattern on the body is cute and resembles a bouquet, and the mechanism that allows the neck to rotate is a feature. It has faded over time and there are knots on the back, but please enjoy the unique flavor of natural wood.

"Ejiko" refers to the basket that parents used to put their babies in while working on the farm, mainly in the Tohoku region. "Ejiko Kokeshi dolls" that are modeled after Kokeshi dolls in a basket are popular for their cuteness.

"Kokeshi dolls" are traditional wooden dolls from the Tohoku region. The prototype has been made for over 150 years.
This doll, which has a gentle and soft impression with a simple expression, will bring a warm atmosphere to your room even in this day and age.
