• 2羽の鳥 と自然の風景が描かれており、韓国の伝統的なモチーフです。寺院の池の様子を表現しています。
韓国ではオシドリ夫婦のように仲が良い雁やアヒルが夫婦円満の象徴でありお祝い事等に使われることが多いそうです。
木製の木箱に丁寧に彫られています。

左上の角に擦り傷が少しあります。
また中の布地に少し黒ずんだところがあります。
The lacquer finish on this lovely box is applied over red rice paper with an etched design of two ducks and inlaid mother of pearl accents creating a modern box with a traditional feel. Ducks are revered in Korean culture because they mate for life. These style boxes were used for writing instruments during the Chosun Dynasty.
